Starting from October, Binh Lieu terraced fields enter the ripe rice season. The terraced fields are located quite close to National Highway 18C, from the car window or stopping by the roadside, visitors can feel the aroma of new rice. The most beautiful rice fields in Binh Lieu are concentrated in Khe O, Cao Thang, and Ngan Pat villages (Luc Hon commune), making it irresistible to visitors.
Terraced fields have been cultivated by local people for a long time, closely associated with the ethnic communities here. Terraced fields also have unique historical and cultural significance.
Poetic scenery of Binh Lieu reed hill
In late October and early November, the white color of reeds covers the hillsides on the border patrol route located at an altitude of 700 m above sea level. On the way to conquer the milestones, visitors can take in the view of the rolling hills and white reeds swaying in the autumn wind.
Milestone 1297 is known as a real paradise of reed grass, the road up is relatively easy to go. The reed grass here blooms more than the road to milestone 1305. The white color of the reed grass stands out among the green of the trees, mountains and forests, brightening every corner.
There is now a highway from Hanoi to Tien Giang, about 250 km long, so visitors can easily reach Binh Lieu in a shorter time if using a car or bus. If staying in Binh Lieu town, visitors should rent a motorbike to experience the border patrol route with a daily rental price of 200,000 - 300,000 VND per motorbike.
According to locals, the reed grass blooms most beautifully around mid-to-late November before falling off completely in early December.
In late autumn, there have been many cold winds and fog, making the Binh Lieu border route even more attractive to tourists.
On weekends, at border markers 1297, 1205... there are many students and tourists coming to experience.
The border patrol route has been upgraded, so travel is quite easy.
The most famous landmark in Binh Lieu is 1305 with a road called "dinosaur spine" running about 2 km on the mountain ridge, with cliffs on both sides. The winding road forms a wall separating the two countries of Vietnam and China.
In Binh Lieu, there are many vermicelli production facilities, attracting hundreds of local workers. These vermicelli production facilities have become tourist attractions when coming to Binh Lieu.
The ethnic minority women's football tournament in Binh Lieu has also become a tourism product here.
