BANGKOK POST. Thailand is implementing a five-year plan to develop traditional medicine, which will not only enhance domestic health security but also help boost the health tourism sector.

KHMER TIMES. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Cambodia donated medical equipment worth 7 million USD to the country for oxygen therapy, including oxygen concentrators, patient monitors, and blood oxygen saturation meters.

STRAITS TIMES. Businessman George Goh Ching Wah , Singapore's non-resident ambassador to Morocco since 2017, has announced that he will run for president as an independent candidate.

KYODO. The Japanese government will ban the disclosure of information on patented technologies in 25 areas, such as those for making supersonic and stealth aircraft, to boost economic security .

SAMAA. Pakistan's payment for its first batch of discounted Russian crude oil in Chinese yuan is a significant shift in Pakistan's payment policy, which has been dominated by the US dollar.

DAWN. Pakistani authorities are scrambling to evacuate some 80,000 people at risk from a cyclone packing maximum winds of 125-135km/h and gusts of up to 150km/h that is expected to make landfall this weekend.

TEHRAN TIMES. Iran has announced that it has continued indirect talks with the United States through the intermediary of Oman on the 2015 nuclear deal and the prisoner exchange between the two countries.

IRNA. Iran will accept continued monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on the condition that sanctions are lifted, according to Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi.

ALARABIYA. With 80% desert, extreme heat and rapid urbanization, the UAE is working to restore and replant coastal mangroves to combat climate change.

REUTERS. Iraq's parliament has approved a 2023 budget worth 198.9 trillion dinars ($152 billion), which includes record spending on civil servants' salaries and development projects to improve services and rebuild infrastructure.

Europe

GUARDIAN. British authorities detected 616 migrants crossing the English Channel in small boats on June 11, the highest number of migrants in a single day since the beginning of the year.

LOCAL SWEDEN. The Swedish police force has asked the government to set up an emergency committee to deal with gun violence.

ROMANIA INSIDER. Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca has announced his resignation and expressed hope that a new government will be launched "by the end of this week".

REUTERS. The Polish government is set to appeal to the EU's top court over a ban on the sale of fossil fuel-powered cars in member states from 2035, Climate and Environment Minister Anna Moskwa said.

DW. More than two years after the world launched its Covid-19 vaccination campaign, from June 12, German courts will begin considering complaints related to side effects after receiving this vaccine.

SWISS INFO. A group of hackers has attacked the Swiss federal government website , blocking access to the websites of several authorities and state-affiliated companies.

PRENSA LATINA. The first activity of Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz during his visit to Russia from June 12 was to visit the monument of Cuban Revolutionary Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro in Moscow.

CNN. The Italian government declared a state funeral on June 14 after Silvio Berlusconi, who served three terms as prime minister of Italy for a total of nine years, died on June 12 at the age of 86.

America

CNN. The US State Department has sent a letter of request to UNESCO to promote the country's re-entry into the organization after 5 years of US withdrawal under the administration of President Donald Trump.

REUTERS. The administration of US President Joe Biden added 43 entities to the export control list, for training Chinese military pilots and conducting other activities that threaten US national security.

CNBC. Chinese hackers would almost certainly sabotage critical U.S. infrastructure, such as pipelines and railroads, in the event of a conflict between the two countries, according to Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Director Jen Easterly.

AFP. Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi began a visit to three Latin American countries: Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba, where he is expected to sign many documents to strengthen political, economic and scientific cooperation.

AFP. Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky stressed that his five-day visit to Angola and Zambia would "awaken the sleeping Europe" on the continent.

REUTERS. The EU is considering more than 1 billion euros ($1.07 billion) in aid to boost Tunisia's economic development and stem the flow of illegal migrants across the Mediterranean.

AFP. The Burkina Faso army announced that it had killed a total of 22 terrorists in an operation carried out a day earlier in Africa's Sahel region.

Oceania

ABC. Australian police are urgently investigating a serious bus accident in the Hunter region of New South Wales, which has killed at least 10 people while the number of people injured up to 25.
