According to Apple's plan, the first phase will be to integrate ChatGPT AI technology into Siri, expected to be deployed in December 2024. This is a strategic step to help Siri become smarter as Apple perfects its large language model (LLM) and generative AI features.

Apple is reportedly developing a new LLM AI model that promises to be more powerful and capable of processing natural language than the current Siri version. The new Siri is expected to be introduced at the WWDC Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2025, and officially launched in the spring of 2026.

The heavy investment in AI shows that Apple is trying to improve the quality of user experience through the virtual assistant Siri.

According to user feedback, Siri is currently considered to lack intelligence and has many limitations in features when compared to rival virtual assistants. Therefore, technology experts expect that with this plan, Apple will bring a smarter version of Siri, with more natural interaction capabilities, promising to bring a better experience to users.
