The 3rd week of January, the first quarter of the 24th Road to Olympia took place on the afternoon of October 29 and witnessed an explosive competition with four climbers: Chu Ngoc Quang Vinh (Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted, Yen Bai), Vu Nam Son (Van Lam High School, Hung Yen), Mai Chinh Hung (Phan Chau Trinh High School, Da Nang) and Nguyen Ke Nien (Phu Cat High School No. 1, Binh Dinh).
Four contestants compete this week.
Entering the first round - Warm-up, with two separate and joint rounds, Nam Son was the first contestant to gain the lead with 85 points. Next was Quang Vinh with 80 points, Ke Nien with 55 points, and Chinh Hung with 40 points.
The keyword to find in this week's Obstacle Course consists of 13 letters. The first horizontal line chosen has the question: "Which word is missing in the following poem: "My village is a fishing village:/ Surrounded by water... half a day's river" (Homeland, Te Hanh)? All four contestants gave the same answer "Sea" and won points.

As soon as the first hint image was revealed, the young man Nam Son quickly pressed the bell to answer the keyword correctly. With the answer "Pacific Ocean", he increased the gap in score with the remaining contestants to 155 points. Temporarily in second place was Quang Vinh with 90 points and the two contestants at the bottom of the race were Ke Nien with 65 points and Chinh Hung with 50 points.
In the Acceleration round, Nam Son was a bit weaker than his three other competitors. The contestants made good use of their knowledge and time to continuously score points and improve their rankings. At the end of this round, Quang Vinh took the lead with 220 points, Ke Nien 175 points, Chinh Hung 170 points, and Nam Son 165 points.
Entering the final round, Quang Minh was the first contestant to choose three questions with the same value of 20 - 20 - 20 points. He had a perfect performance in terms of position with 280 points.
Ke Nien chose three questions with the same value of 20 - 20 - 20 points. He answered 2/3 of the questions correctly to come in with 215 points.
Chinh Hung also chose three questions with the same value of 20 - 20 - 20 points and answered perfectly to come in with 230 points.
Nam Son chose three questions worth 20 - 20 - 30 points, but failed to improve his score. However, he did not score any points in the first question, so Quang Vinh won the second question, Nam Son answered the last question correctly. Nam Son finished with 175 points.
Chu Ngoc Quang Vinh won the laurel wreath with 300 points.
In the final result, Chu Ngoc Quang Vinh (Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted, Yen Bai) excellently won the laurel wreath of the weekly competition with 300 points to move on to the monthly competition.
Mai Chinh Hung (Phan Chau Trinh High School, Da Nang) came in second with 230 points. This was also the highest second place score of the week, helping Chinh Hung advance to the monthly competition.
Also in third place were Nguyen Ke Nien (Phu Cat High School No. 1, Binh Dinh) with 215 points and Vu Nam Son (Van Lam High School, Hung Yen) with 175 points.
