The international music festival 8Wonder: Moments of Wonder recently held in Co Loa (Hanoi) has truly become an explosive music and cultural party, gathering the world's leading artists and those of Vietnam.
The event kicked off with the performance Echoes of Heritage, recreating the soul of the Vietnamese people right on the legendary land of Co Loa. Under the guidance of conductor Dong Quang Vinh and the national orchestra, modern graphics and legendary sounds brought the audience back to the heroic historical periods, from the beginning of the land's founding to the journey of world integration.
Next, (S) TRONG Trong Hieu appeared lively with “Kho bao” and “Chat choi”. He sang a cappella, keeping pace with the audience and excitedly chanting “Xin chao, welcome Vietnam” – “We, Hanoi is cool”.
This year's Bac Bling performance featured 200 children from Lac Xa (Bac Ninh), wearing red flag shirts with yellow stars, replacing Xuan Hinh and Tuan Cry. Hoa Minzy called this "a special day to honor national culture". She brought 1,000 clay figurines as a gift of solidarity, while also expressing her personal feelings when singing Khong the cung nhau suot kiep and introducing Noi dau mua hoa binh
The stage exploded when Soobin appeared in a stylized ao dai, holding a traditional fan. He brought Nguoi Viet, Sitting on the boat's edge and especially the mashup Trong Com - Nguoi Viet.
The male singer also played the monochord solo on stage.
At every moment of interaction, Soobin affirmed his pride in being Vietnamese, and at the same time called on the audience to "burn" themselves out to spread the image of a youthful and integrated Vietnam.
Not only bringing vibrant musical moments, Soobin also gave the audience a signed monochord, as a gift of gratitude on the upcoming National Day.
Soobin continues to conquer the audience when he successively displays many youthful and vibrant musical colors through a series of hits Daydreams, Dancing in the Dark, BlackJack, Superstar...
Soobin at 8Wonder is sometimes deep and full of Vietnamese pride, sometimes explosive and burning with international rhythms.
The festive atmosphere was further fueled by J Balvin, the new generation “king of reggaeton”. With a series of global hits such as Loco Contigo, Mi Gente, Amarillo, Taki Taki, the male artist made the Vietnamese audience dance non-stop. The moment the Vietnamese and Colombian flags fluttered together on stage was considered a meaningful “Moment of Wonder”, especially on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.
At 9:45 p.m., The Kid LAROI took the audience through a range of emotions with an international live band. The hits Stay, Thousand Miles, Without You filled the space with youthfulness and enthusiasm.
The climax of 8Wonder came at 10:40 pm when DJ Snake – the show’s headliner – appeared. The energetic intro quickly swept away the fatigue of tens of thousands of spectators who had been standing for hours. A series of billion-view hits such as Turn Down for What, Lean On, Let Me Love You, Get Low… made the whole stage explode.
The 8Wonder Music Festival organized by Vingroup, an event in a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, affirms Vietnam's position as a leading festival and entertainment destination in the region, thereby honoring the spirit of a strong Vietnam and its desire to reach out; at the same time, expressing the desire to bring Vietnamese culture to the world.
