Professor Pham Hong Chuong, Principal of the National Economics University , said that this year the school will keep the bonus level stable compared to previous years. Accordingly, each cadre, lecturer and employee will receive a bonus of 25 million VND, regardless of job position and ranking. The total Tet bonus for 1,100 people is about 27 billion VND.

According to Mr. Chuong, this amount of money is due to the school's savings from activities during the year, including the surplus from reducing administrative staff. Previously, the National Economics University had more than 400 administrative staff, but now, only half of that number has been reduced thanks to the application of information technology.

In addition to the Tet bonus, the school's employees also receive a 13th month salary. Currently, the school's lecturers' salaries range from 15-30 million VND per month, administrative staff from 13-20 million, and specialists from 9-19 million VND.

Thus, including the Tet bonus and the 13th month salary, a staff member at the National Economics University receives the highest amount of about 55 million VND, the lowest is 35 million VND. At the University of Transport, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong, Vice Principal of the school, said that this year, the school distributed welfare money to each staff member and lecturer on average more than 20 million VND, higher than last year.

In addition, employees will also receive additional income as the 13th month salary in 2023 depending on the coefficient and position of each person. According to Mr. Chuong, these amounts are also the result of good implementation of the spending savings plan.

An official from the University of Commerce said that this year, each staff and lecturer of the school will receive a Lunar New Year bonus of VND25 million/person and an additional Tet bonus of VND5 million/person. In addition to the Tet bonus, staff and lecturers in the school will also receive the 13th month salary of 2023.

Lunar New Year benefits and 13th month salary in 2023 will be received by the end of January 2024 for school staff and lecturers. Additional Tet benefits (VND 5 million/person) will be received from February 20-21, 2024.

Currently, the salary of lecturers at the school ranges from 15-30 million VND/month, administrative staff from 13-20 million/month, and specialists from 10-20 million VND/month. Thus, if we add up the Tet benefits and 13th month salary, a staff member at the University of Commerce receives the highest amount of about 60 million VND, the lowest is 40 million VND.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, the University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Hanoi announced that it will give civil servants and employees gifts worth the highest value of 8 million VND (with a working period of 9 months or more, calculated from January 1, 2023), the lowest value of 2 million VND (with a working period of less than 3 months).

A lecturer at the school said that in addition, each lecturer will also receive an additional income in 2023 according to the position coefficient.

According to this person's calculation, each lecturer, depending on the coefficient and labor productivity in the year, will receive an additional 12 to 20 million VND. Thus, if these two amounts are added together, each lecturer and staff member of the University of Natural Sciences who has signed a labor contract and has worked for 1 year or more will receive 20 to 28 million VND/person.

Similarly, the leaders of Hanoi University said that on the occasion of the Year of the Dragon, the school will give its staff and lecturers a 13th month salary and 20 million VND as a bonus. The 13th month salary of Hanoi University ranges from 14 to 50 million VND. Thus, the person who receives the highest bonus is about 70 million VND.

At the University of Mining and Geology , Mr. Le Xuan Thanh, Head of the school's Student Affairs Department, said that according to internal spending regulations, each staff and lecturer will receive a bonus of 5 million VND on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024 plus the 13th month salary in 2023.

Based on the coefficient and salary level of each staff and lecturer, according to Mr. Thanh, the highest 13th month salary received is about 16 million VND, the lowest is 4-5 million VND. Thus, the total amount of money that staff and lecturers of the University of Mining and Geology receive will fluctuate from 10 to more than 20 million VND.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong, Vice Principal of the University of Transport - said that the school does not have a Tet bonus, only welfare money on this occasion.

"Every year, staff and lecturers receive about 10 million VND/person, this year it is expected to increase to about 20 million," said Mr. Chuong.

Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Van Chau, acting principal of the University of Electricity, said that the school has about 500 cadres, lecturers and employees. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the cadres, lecturers and employees of the school will receive two Tet bonuses.

First, the Tet bonus according to internal spending regulations is 5 million VND. Second, it is an additional bonus, taken from welfare money. People who work for 12 months of the year will receive a bonus of 30 million VND, an increase of 5 million compared to last year.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Van Chau, the increased bonus is also the result of good implementation of the spending savings plan, and is an encouragement and motivation for employees to contribute to the development of the school.
