Evidence of national solidarity

Vietnam News Agency quoted the Head of the Lao Central Committee's Foreign Affairs Commission as saying that Vietnam has maintained political stability, built a strong national defense and security foundation and is considered by the international community to be one of the safest countries in Asia. This is an important foundation for Vietnam to attract foreign investment and create momentum to promote economic growth. Mr. Phandanouvong expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam , Vietnam will continue to achieve greater achievements in the cause of protecting, building and developing the country.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), Pasaxon newspaper, the mouthpiece of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, published an article affirming that the victory of the August Revolution in 1945 brought the Vietnamese nation into a new era, an era of national independence associated with socialism. Over the past 80 years, Vietnam has achieved many great and historic achievements in all fields. This is a testament to the spirit of solidarity and the indomitable will of the entire nation under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Argentina Jorge Kreyness emphasized that the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on September 2, 1945 was a historic turning point, not only for Vietnam but also for the entire Indochina region.

Since then, the Vietnamese people have come a long way, bringing the country from war to unification, from poverty to development and moving towards building socialism. Vietnam has strongly inspired national liberation movements in Asia, Africa and Latin America, contributing to the formation of the Non-Aligned Movement and strengthening the stance against imperialism globally.

Dr. Ruvislei Gonzalez Saez, Vice President of the Cuba-Vietnam Friendship Association, affirmed that over the past 80 years, Vietnam has achieved extraordinary achievements. Vietnamese leaders have been quick to innovate their thinking and adapt to the times so that the country can make a leap forward in socio -economic development. Dr. Saez highly appreciated the Communist Party of Vietnam's leadership of a series of transformations within the framework of a market economy while always firmly following the path to socialism.

Meanwhile, Professor Shimizu at Osaka University (Japan) said that the August Revolution in 1945 brought great hope and courage to oppressed peoples, not only changing the history of Vietnam but also playing an important role in promoting the wave of decolonization, becoming one of the turning points in world history.

According to Professor Shimizu, the greatest value that the August Revolution left behind was the spirit of national independence and the aspiration to control one’s own destiny. This is a factor that has been present throughout Vietnam’s process of building and defending the country since 1945.
