Extending its commitment to community action, Long Chau continues to join forces with Mayoly and the Vietnam Neurocognitive Disorders Association (VnADA) to launch the TNmindtest program - screening for memory and concentration health, for the first time in Vietnam. This is a strategic step to improve the professional capacity of pharmacists in consulting and supporting customers in screening for problems related to memory and concentration. At the same time, the program aims to detect early signs of mild cognitive impairment, such as forgetfulness, difficulty concentrating or slower thinking, in people aged 35 to 50.
These symptoms can be early signs of a condition called mild cognitive impairment (MCI), an intermediate stage between normal aging and more serious memory disorders. Through the project, the units hope to contribute to increasing public awareness of the importance of early brain care to prevent cognitive decline later.
TNmindtest is a memory and concentration assessment tool, digitized by leading experts in the field of neurology and cognition, developed by VnADA and sponsored by Mayoly. The tool is built on the diagnostic criteria for mild cognitive impairment (MCI) issued by the National Alzheimer's Association of America (NIA-AA) in 2011. The test focuses on functions that are often affected early in young people such as episodic memory, the ability to learn and remember new information, working memory, and the ability to retain and process short-term information.
