In recent days, the Military Region 4 Command has established a Command Center in the flood area to directly direct and manage the work of overcoming consequences, closely coordinate with other forces, and contribute to helping people in flood areas restore essential infrastructure and soon stabilize their lives.

The Military Region 4 Command Headquarters located in Muong Xen Commune (Nghe An Province) includes representatives of staff, political , logistics and technical agencies, with the task of firmly grasping the situation, promptly directing the forces of the Military Region including main force troops, local troops, militia and self-defense forces to coordinate with local government forces to focus on helping people overcome consequences and restore essential infrastructure.

Major General Nguyen Ngoc Ha, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, said that the establishment of a Command Center in the flooded area helps coordinate forces smoothly, quickly and effectively; giving top priority to repairing public and essential works such as schools and government offices, supporting people in communes with heavy damage, and ensuring safety during the performance of tasks.
Under the direction of the Military Region 4 Command in the flooded area, the recovery work took place smoothly and effectively. From August 7 to 12, Division 324 (Military Region 4) mobilized 350 officers and soldiers to My Ly, Bac Ly, Muong Tip, and Muong Xen communes (Nghe An) to help people overcome the consequences of the flood.
With a total of 1,755 working days, the army cleaned up 4 schools, supported 41 households in cleaning their houses, and cleared roads and canals.

From August 4 to 13, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command deployed more than 110 officers and soldiers along with many mobile vehicles to My Ly commune - an area that suffered heavy damage after the flood.
According to statistics, the entire My Ly commune has 439 affected houses, many public works, schools, cultural houses, roads and civil infrastructure are seriously damaged. In particular, the 3 villages of Xieng Tam, Xop Tu and Hoa Ly have a total of 60 households in need of urgent support.
The Nghe An Provincial Military Command has urgently coordinated with the authorities and people to clear thousands of cubic meters of mud and soil, clean up village roads and alleys, dismantle damaged houses, build temporary houses for 18 households, clean up 3 kindergartens and 3 community cultural houses. Officers and soldiers also helped people find many important assets such as safes, production machines, and means of living buried in mud and soil; and promptly transported 5 tons of relief goods to isolated villages.

Along with directly supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, officers and soldiers of Nghe An province's armed forces donated more than 1 billion VND, gave dozens of tons of necessities, organized free medical examinations and medicine distribution, and sprayed disinfectants to prevent the spread of the epidemic, promptly encouraged and shared difficulties to help people stabilize their lives soon.
The delegation of the Provincial Military Command led by Colonel Nguyen Van An, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, visited communes in the Western Nghe An region to visit and encourage families of people and families of soldiers who suffered losses, as well as the forces participating in the relief effort. Here, the delegation presented gifts to 100 households in My Ly and Nhon Mai communes; and presented gifts to 71 families of soldiers of the Provincial Military Command who were severely affected by the floods.

Up to now, the flood recovery work in the western communes of Nghe An has been basically completed, ensuring essential needs for people and creating conditions for schools to welcome students back soon for the new school year.
The Military Region 4 Command in the flood-hit area is continuing to direct forces to stay close to the area, making efforts to help people and localities, and being ready to respond to any natural disaster that may occur.
