On the morning of December 12, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province issued a document directing the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Construction, the People's Committees of districts, Da Lat city and Bao Loc to urgently inspect and review constructions that pose a risk of causing unsafety to students and teachers in the province.

Previously, Thanh Nien Newspaper and some other newspapers reported the ceiling collapse incident in the auditorium at Chi Lang Secondary and High School, Ward 9, Da Lat City (Lam Dong), causing great concern among students and parents.

Accordingly, the auditorium of Chi Lang Secondary and High School and some new subject practice rooms were built and put into use in the past 2 years. However, on the morning of November 24, the auditorium ceiling suddenly collapsed, crushing the tables and chairs; at that time, when the ceiling cracks were discovered, the school promptly moved students to other classrooms, so fortunately there were no casualties.

The directive document of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee clearly states: "Urgently organize inspections and reviews of construction works in schools in the province that have degraded and pose a risk to the safety of students and teachers to propose solutions; resolutely do not put into use school and classroom works that do not ensure safety according to regulations and report the results before December 30, 2023".
