Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on the morning of May 2, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, said that Quang Nam tourism witnessed a large number of visitors flocking to destinations.
Especially in Hoi An ancient town, visitors poured in from the roads leading to the old town, creating a bustling scene of fun during the two holidays.
The number of visitors in the first two days of the holiday is estimated at 131,000 - an increase of 41% over the same period in 2024. Of these, 58,000 are international visitors and 73,000 are domestic visitors - an increase of 93% over the same period in 2024.

Average hotel room occupancy during the first days of the holiday reached over 90% and over 60% on the following days.
Many large resorts have achieved high occupancy rates such as Hoiana (over 95%), Hoian Beach (over 96%), and Emerald (98%).
This is a good signal after many efforts to promote, improve quality, launch many preferential products of Quang Nam province's tourism industry and shows the strong recovery of Quang Nam province's tourism.
700m² National Flag Display on Hoi An Memory Island
In recent days, many tourists coming to Hoi An Memory Island were moved to tears when witnessing the performance of the giant red flag with yellow star.
On the live stage, interspersed between the art shows, is the image of the national flag being stretched by actors over an area of over 700 square meters. The flag is 22 meters wide and 32 meters long.
"We will display this flag from April 23 to May 4. This is not only an artistic highlight but also a deep gratitude to the Fatherland and national history, and a message of joy to the country on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of unification.
The flag, with the support of sound and light, flew on the large stage, creating a special sacred effect and emotion" - said a representative of Hoi An Memory Island.
