On June 27, regarding the discovery by people of many half-burned pieces of paper with red stamps and contents related to accounting activities, budget revenue and expenditure, and financial invoices near the People's Committee of Co Nhue 2 Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi , Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of Hanoi City Police, said that the burned documents were not confidential documents.

Speaking to the press, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung informed that as soon as the above information was available, the police force stepped in to verify the incident.

"There are no confidential documents, these are all discarded papers such as photocopies of citizen identification cards, household registration books, and letters of introduction to work at the ward," said Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung.
