TPO - A Soyuz spacecraft carrying two Russian astronauts and one American astronaut from the International Space Station (ISS) has just landed in the steppe of Kazakhstan.

The capsule separated from the ISS and landed on the Kazakhstan steppe at around 3:30 a.m. on September 23 without any problems.

During the final descent, the capsule descended under a red and white parachute at a speed of about 7.2 meters per second. The three astronauts were assisted out of the capsule and placed in nearby chairs to acclimatize to the changed environment, before undergoing medical examinations in a nearby tent.

Cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub returned to Earth after 374 days on the space station, breaking the record for the longest continuous stay there. American astronaut Tracy Dyson returned to Earth after 6 months on the IS.

Currently, eight astronauts remain on the station, including two Americans, Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who will have to stay longer than expected. The two are expected to be returned to Earth by SpaceX next year.
