According to Digitaltrends , the product image was just shared by member HXL (@9550pro on X), a fairly famous CPU leaker. However, even the person who posted the image is not sure whether the image is fake or not. Even if it is a real image, it is not certain whether Intel will launch this CPU or not. Although the image looks quite authentic, there are some inconsistencies in the writing on the heatsink, between the Core i9-14900KS and Core i9-13900KS.

In fact, the existence of the Core i9-14900KS has been rumored since last November. Additionally, Intel has released enthusiast-grade KS-series CPUs over the past few generations, such as the Core i9-12900KS. So it would make sense for Intel to follow up the Core i9-14900K with a KS model aimed at budget-conscious users who want a top-of-the-line Intel CPU without investing in overclocked versions.

If the Core i9-14900KS does indeed exist, it will likely feature the same core count as the Core i9-14900K, with a total of 24 cores (8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores) and 32 threads. The difference is that this processor will have a boost clock speed of up to 6.2 GHz. It's also possible that Intel will increase the TDP to 150W, which is 25W higher than any other CPU in the Rapor Lake family.

In terms of price, this CPU model is likely to be in the $600 to $750 segment. Previously, the Core i9-14900K was launched at $590.
