On October 29, local time, within the framework of attending the 8th Future Investment Initiative Conference (FII8) and visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated Egypt's role and position in the region and multilateral forums; praised the values that the Nile civilization brings to humanity. On the basis of the good traditional friendship and high political trust, the Prime Minister suggested that the two countries actively promote further development of all-round relations, aiming to raise the bilateral relationship to new heights. On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed the regards and invitations of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to visit Vietnam soon.

For his part, the Egyptian Prime Minister affirmed that as one of the first Middle Eastern - African countries to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam in 1963, Egypt always attaches importance to its traditional relations with Vietnam and once again expressed his deep admiration for President Ho Chi Minh. The Egyptian Prime Minister wished to promote relations with Vietnam and affirmed that Vietnamese enterprises doing business and investing in Egypt would benefit from free trade agreements between Egypt and Arab countries. The two leaders agreed to promote research and consider negotiating agreements and arrangements to create a legal framework for trade relations between the two countries. The two Prime Ministers said that the two economies are highly complementary and have much potential to exploit; they agreed to discuss the possibility of establishing bilateral trade cooperation frameworks, thereby contributing to increasing trade turnover in the coming time. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly also agreed to encourage businesses of the two countries to invest in each other in the fields of electric vehicles, software research, renewable energy, solar energy, green transformation, digital transformation, etc.; promote cooperation in training, cultural exchange, tourism, and enhance mutual understanding. The two sides also agreed to continue to support and coordinate with each other at multilateral forums, acting as a bridge for each other in enhancing cooperation with ASEAN and Arab countries for the benefit of the people of the two countries, for peace, cooperation and development in the two regions.
