According to Gizmochina , the laptop line called Qingyun L540 that Huawei has just introduced is equipped with Kirin 9006C chip manufactured on the advanced 5nm process. This product line is designed to replace the Qingyun L410 line equipped with the previous Kirin 990 chip.
Qingyun L540 is equipped with Huawei's "homegrown" 5nm chip
The Kirin 9006C is a 5nm chip developed by Huawei-owned HiSilicon. It is an 8-core CPU chip based on the Arm architecture, including 4 Cortex-A77 cores and 4 Cortex-A55 cores. One of the Cortex-A77 cores operates at up to 3.13 GHz, while the remaining cores run at 2.54 GHz. The entire cluster of Cortex-A55 cores runs at up to 2.05 GHz. The chip also integrates a Mali-G78 MP22 GPU.
In addition to the Kirin 9006C, the Qingyun L540 also features a 14-inch display with a resolution of up to 2,160 x 1,440 pixels, a 60 Hz refresh rate, and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. It has a 56 Wh battery, a built-in fingerprint scanner, an HD camera, two USB-A ports, a USB-C port, a 3.5 mm audio output, HDMI, and a mini RJ45 jack. The product also has 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM, as well as a 256 GB or 512 GB SSD.
The standard version of the Qingyun L540 with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD, and UOS is priced at $846. Other options include the 8GB RAM + 512GB SSD configuration for $917 and the 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD for $988. Huawei also offers special customized versions of its laptops for business customers.
