NDO - Within the framework of the Journey "Young doctors follow Uncle Ho's teachings, volunteer for community health" and the Careme Program 2024 launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Doctors Association, young doctors and nurses have organized nearly 2,700 activities, providing direct consultation and medical examination to more than 1 million people (11 times the set target).
On the afternoon of November 13, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association held a press conference to announce the results of the Journey "Young Physicians follow Uncle Ho's teachings, volunteer for community health" and the Careme Program in 2024.
According to reports, more than 21,000 members of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association have participated in the Journey in both direct and online forms. Vietnam Young Physicians Associations at all levels across the country have implemented nearly 2,700 activities with a total support budget of more than 117 billion VND.

The number of people receiving direct consultation and medical examination through the Journey reached about 1.13 million people. Of which, the number of people screened for diseases through the artificial intelligence (AI) platform alone reached more than 1 million people.
Through the Careme Program - Screening for cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic diseases, it has been recorded that the rate of people with signs of chronic kidney disease is up to approximately 16.2% (compared to statistics of 12% of the population and 17% of the adult population).
Within the framework of the Journey, the Central-level "Digital Transformation for Lung Health" program conducted direct medical examinations for more than 10,000 people; the "For a Healthier Vietnam" program examined, gave gifts, and provided guidance on food hygiene and safety to more than 15,000 people and 15,000 children; the "Healthy Living Every Day" program examined and screened for non-communicable diseases and gastrointestinal diseases, and screened for H.Pylori bacteria in the stomach for more than 2,000 people.
Regarding the activities to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, the young medical force nationwide supported more than 14,700 people in 11 provinces and cities with 36,000 medicine bags, reaching a total value of more than 10 billion VND.

On the same day, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association held a seminar on "The burden of chronic diseases and the potential for applying digital transformation in disease management".
