On the morning of December 28, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Provincial Journalists Association jointly organized a periodic press conference for December 2023.

Attending the conference were representatives of departments, branches; central and local press agencies.

In December, local and central press agencies and resident reporters in the province closely followed the direction and propaganda orientation of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, proactively and promptly informed and propagated outstanding current events, political events, socio-economic development tasks, and ensuring national defense and security in the area.

Most press agencies continue to accompany and share with the provincial Party Committees and authorities at all levels in leading and implementing tasks; propagating the results of socio-economic development in 2023, targets and tasks in 2024; leadership, direction, and preparation for the Lunar New Year 2024; setting examples of good people, good deeds, and advanced models; fighting against negative manifestations, corruption, waste, and social evils; refuting false information and arguments of hostile forces...

In particular, there are many articles reflecting prominent issues that are of public concern, thereby helping Party committees and authorities at all levels to direct, inspect, handle, and orient public opinion, contributing to creating social consensus, economic development, and ensuring security and order.

At the meeting, representatives of press agencies discussed and requested localities, departments and branches to coordinate and promptly provide information to the press.

Regarding the propaganda orientation in the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested press agencies to focus on promoting anniversaries, traditional days, and important events in January 2024 such as: New Year's Day 2024; 78 years of the General Election to elect the first National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2024); 45 years of the Victory Day of the war to protect the Southwestern border of the Fatherland and together with the Cambodian people to defeat the genocidal regime (January 7, 1979 - January 7, 2024). At the same time, focus on promoting the 110th anniversary of the birth of General Nguyen Chi Thanh (January 1, 1914 - January 1, 2024)...

Concluding the conference, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Huynh Chien Thang highly appreciated the positive contributions of news agencies and press agencies in the past time. At the same time, he requested that press agencies continue to accompany local Party committees and authorities to lead, direct and effectively organize the implementation of the proposed political tasks.
