The group of 18 guests from Italy participated in a tour program in Hoi An organized by Mien A Dong Joint Stock Company. It is known that this is the second consecutive year Hoi An welcomed a group of guests from Italy to "break ground" at the beginning of the year.

Tourist Elisabetta Casiragh said that she and everyone in the group were very impressed and moved when they were warmly welcomed by the local authorities and people on the occasion of the New Year 2025.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Lanh - Vice Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee said, "xong dat" is a fine custom of Vietnamese people in general and Hoi An people in particular.

The fact that the city welcomes a group of tourists from Italy - the cultural capital of Europe and also the cradle of the cultural renaissance, which has similarities and compatibility with the culture of Hoi An, Quang Nam in terms of art, cultural heritage, performing arts... at the beginning of the new year is an opportunity for Hoi An to continue its journey to build a global creative city.

"Hoi An people are always hospitable and warmly welcome all visitors. Hoi An hopes that you will return to Hoi An many more times and introduce more friends to Vietnam and Hoi An," said Mr. Lanh.

After the reception, the delegation visited Hoi An ancient town with many ancient architectural works preserved over time; experienced cultural and artistic activities, and demonstrations of traditional local crafts.
