This morning (March 7), the Vietnam Women's Academy held a workshop on "Promoting 65 years of tradition - Vietnam Women's Academy accompanies Union officials into a new era". Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Tran Lan Phuong attended the workshop.
The workshop was held on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of tradition and development of the Vietnam Women's Academy.
The workshop was also attended by comrades: Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa - former member of the Party Central Committee, former President of the Vietnam Women's Union, President of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children's Rights; Phi Quoc Thuyen - Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of the Vietnam Women's Newspaper; together with officials, civil servants, and employees of the Vietnam Women's Academy; former leaders and officers of the Central Women's Cadre School.

Speaking at the workshop, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Tran Lan Phuong affirmed that over the past 6 decades, with the efforts and dedication of generations of cadres and lecturers, the Vietnam Women's Academy has made an important contribution to the cause of gender equality, enhancing women's capacity and promoting sustainable development.

"Developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation is an inevitable and objective requirement, a strategic choice, a top priority for rapid and sustainable economic development in the new era, an era of development, prosperity, prosperity, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers according to Uncle Ho's instructions. The goal is to spread digital technology to all areas of the economy, contributing to promoting economic growth of over 8% in 2025 and double digits in the following years. An important solution is to have a breakthrough in developing digital human resources, equipping knowledge and skills for the future generation, ready to seize opportunities in the digital era. This requires the education system, including the Vietnam Women's Academy, to strongly innovate to train a team of highly qualified staff, creative thinking, leadership skills and adaptability to the knowledge economy. To meet the requirements of the New Era, according to Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Tran Lan Phuong, the Vietnam Women's Academy needs to focus on three key tasks: Innovating training and fostering methods towards applying technology, innovation, closely following the major policies of the Party and State on human resource development; Strengthening training in leadership, management skills, and strategic thinking for Union officials, helping them have enough capacity to lead the women's movement, apply technology to the work of the Union; Developing a training cooperation network with domestic and foreign organizations, in order to improve the quality of teaching, promote scientific research on gender equality, digital economy, green economy and sustainable development.

The workshop included two contents: Looking back at 65 years of tradition of the Vietnam Women's Academy, recognizing achievements and lessons learned; Discussing the Academy accompanying the Association's staff in the new era, identifying opportunities, challenges and solutions to improve training quality in the new development context.
At the workshop, speakers shared about the development trends of higher education, application of technology in teaching and research, as well as recommendations to improve the quality of training and fostering of Association staff in the coming time.
