Hanoi students win gold medal at world invention and innovation competition

A group of students from Nguyen Tat Thanh High School and Foreign Language High School (Hanoi) have just won the Gold Medal at the 13th World Invention and Creativity Olympiad. The competition was organized by the Korean Universities Invention Association and sponsored by the Korean National Assembly. This year's competition took place at Seoul National University of Education (Korea) on July 23 and 24. This is a prestigious competition held annually to create opportunities for students, university students, and young investors to discuss and introduce the country's advances in science, technology, and invention engineering with creative and practical inventions and innovations. This year's competition attracted the participation of about 2,000 students from nearly 140 teams from 25 countries with leading educational development in the world such as Australia, the US, Canada, Korea, Germany, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.

A group of students from Nguyen Tat Thanh High School, including Nguyen Tran Nam Khanh, Do Phuong Linh, Nguyen Tuan Khoi, Tan Thien Kim and Nguyen Cao Duc Minh (Foreign Language High School) participated in this year's World Invention and Creativity Olympiad with the topic "Research on modifying peanut shells as materials to treat heavy metals causing pollution". The group's research topic won the Gold Medal, as well as the "Special Prize" and the Grand Prize. The group's research topic was highly appreciated by the jury for its ideas, scientific , social and environmental significance.
