The Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS) are for outstanding candidates who are aiming to become the next generation of global leaders, helping them overcome financial difficulties when preparing for their studies abroad. The scholarships are awarded for master's degrees to Vietnamese citizens.

The Australian Government Full Scholarships are open to government officials, academics, research institutes, businesses, non-governmental organisations, and people with disabilities working in overseas companies. The AAS encourages female applicants, people with disabilities, those living in rural areas, ethnic minorities and disadvantaged people, or applicants with leadership qualities, creative thinking and the potential to address development challenges in Vietnam.

The Australian Government has its own support to ensure equality for disadvantaged candidates. AAS will fully fund tuition fees, living expenses, airfares, health insurance, and research grants. People with disabilities will receive financial support for accompanying carers.

Priority fields of study for Vietnamese applicants include agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, digital transformation, education, information technology (for people with disabilities only), environment, climate change, economic management, gender equality, health, and human rights. Other fields are also considered based on the quality of the application, except for business administration and medicine.

Applicants must submit all required documents between 1 February and 30 April. Fraudulent or false information will result in disqualification and future scholarship applications. Admission to study in Australia is subject to Australian Government regulations.
