Understanding the HPV vaccine

Experts say that the HPV vaccine should be understood correctly, because it not only prevents cervical cancer in women but also helps prevent diseases such as vulvar and vaginal cancer in women; genital warts, anal cancer, and throat cancer in both sexes.

80% of people infected with HPV do not know when or how they got infected. The vaccine is an early and effective preventive measure, given to both men and women aged 9-26.
