Passionate about engineering and automation, Nguyen The Vinh (25 years old) went to 3 countries to study. Despite the difficult journey, this young man still received many scholarships and excellent achievements.
While studying in grade 12 at Vung Tau High School (Ba Ria-Vung Tau), Nguyen The Vinh learned that this was the last year the Finnish government offered full scholarships to international students outside of Europe. Realizing that the opportunity suited his passion, Vinh decided to try and passed with a total score of 30/35.
Not only is Vinh an excellent student, he (middle) also actively participates in activities and movements.

"To receive this scholarship, in addition to the language requirements, I had to pass an entrance exam with knowledge of math - physics - chemistry and social theory. Because this was the last chance to win this special scholarship, I had to compete with many other students both domestically and internationally," Vinh shared.
In 2016, right after graduating from high school, Vinh went to study abroad at HAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland) majoring in electrical engineering and automation, with a full scholarship covering 4 years of tuition. In 2021, Vinh continued to receive a master's scholarship from Tampere University (Finland) majoring in data analysis.
"Before defending my thesis, I was accepted to intern as a software engineer for a company developing automated vehicle systems in Japan for half a year with an income of 37 - 50 million VND/month. Here, I was exposed to a professional technology environment that could change people's lives, so I was even more determined to learn more," he said.
Although he had received a master's scholarship in Finland, Vinh decided to go to Korea because he wanted to challenge himself in a more academic environment. With excellent achievements, Vinh received a full scholarship at Sejong University (Korea) majoring in computer science.
Not only that, Vinh is also the author of 2 scientific articles published on Information Fusion and JNCA, which are among the most prestigious scientific journals (Q1 group) with 2 studies: "Caching in external memory areas through creating an artificial intelligence system that learns user habits to save information searching" and "Video services in 6G networks".
Sharing about his research process, The Vinh said: "Before doing a scientific topic, I often read many articles about it to learn about aspects that have not been deeply exploited. Through that, I narrow down the scope of potential scientific issues, evaluate feasibility and avoid getting lost while researching."
As a close friend of Vinh, To Truong An (25 years old), a graduate student at Sejong University, said: "Vinh is a serious person, with good discipline in studying and researching. To carry out scientific articles, Vinh always sets clear directions for research. In addition, Vinh is also very active and enthusiastic in participating in activities at school."
In addition to his excellent academic achievements, Nguyen The Vinh was also honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Embassy and the Vietnamese Student Association in Korea for his activities in organizing seminars and events connecting Vietnamese and international students .
Sharing his plans, this international student said: "After graduating in Korea and finishing my internship, I will go to Australia or Japan to work and develop the automation field."
