Hai Duong competes for architectural design of Van bridge connecting National Highway 37 with Trieu bridge approach road

Accordingly, the content of the architectural design competition for Van bridge is adjusted and supplemented. The investor organizes the architectural competition according to the provisions of law.

According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, Van Bridge over Kinh Thay River belongs to the Project to invest in the construction of the road and Van Bridge connecting National Highway 37, Chi Linh City with the approach road to Trieu Bridge, Kinh Mon Town. It is a project of level I scale, with a part of the bridge located in the urban area of ​​Chi Linh City (in Tan Dan Ward) and a part of the bridge located in Quang Thanh Commune, Kinh Mon Town, which is subject to the competition for architectural plans according to the provisions of Article 17 of the Law on Architecture 2019. However, the content of the competition for architectural plans of Van Bridge is not proposed in the approved investment policy of the project. In order to have a basis for organizing the competition for architectural plans of Van Bridge according to regulations, it is necessary to adjust the investment policy of the project, including the content of organizing the competition for architectural plans of Van Bridge.

Other contents of the project remain unchanged. Previously, on June 24, 2022, the People's Council of Hai Duong province issued Resolution No. 18/NQ-HDND on deciding on the investment policy of the project: Investing in the construction of the road and Van bridge connecting National Highway 37, Chi Linh city with the approach road to Trieu bridge, Kinh Mon town. The total length of the route is 12.97km, including the main route of 9.72km and the branch route of 3.25km.

The content and scale of investment in the road construction are according to the scale of a level III plain road, with a design speed of 80km/h, a 12m wide roadbed and an 11m wide road surface. Construct a new Van bridge with a prestressed reinforced concrete structure, a bridge width of 12m, and a total bridge length of about 919m.

The project is invested by the Hai Duong Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board. The total estimated investment of the project is over VND 1,296 billion; the implementation period is 2021-2025 and 2026-2030.
