According to the initial report of Binh Thuan Provincial Police, the fire broke out at the house of Mr. Ta Van Hung (35 years old) at 414 Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street, Phong Nam Commune, Phan Thiet City (Binh Thuan). The victims who died in the house fire were identified as Ms. Pham Bao T. (32 years old, Mr. Hung's wife). The second victim was Mr. Nguyen Huu Don (Mr. Hung's neighbor).

The house fire broke out at around 6:32 p.m. on August 31. At that time, there was a strong wind and light rain, and the fire spread very quickly. When the fire was discovered, Mr. Hung was standing near the door, so he ran out into the street and escaped. Inside the house, Ms. T. (Mr. Hung's wife) and her two children ran into the bathroom because the house only had one main door.

When discovering Mr. Hung's house on fire and Ms. T. and her three children trapped inside, Mr. Nguyen Huu Don (Mr. Hung's neighbor) rushed in to save them but was electrocuted, causing Mr. Don to die on the spot.

The Fire Police force entered the restroom and brought Ms. T. and her three children out to the emergency room, but Ms. T. died at 7:10 p.m. the same day.

The homeowner's children, Ta Quoc A. (5 years old) and Ta Quoc T. (3 years old), are currently being treated at Binh Thuan General Hospital in critical condition.

Colonel Huynh Ngoc Liem, Deputy Director of Binh Thuan Police, said that he has directed the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to coordinate with the functional agencies of Phan Thiet City to carry out emergency measures to rescue the victims. At the same time, carry out professional measures to examine the scene and investigate the cause of this serious house fire.

It is known that the house where the fire occurred belongs to Mr. Ta Van Hung's family, which is also a motorbike repair shop. The house that caught fire was opposite a gas station, but fortunately the fire did not spread.

The house fire that killed two people in Phan Thiet City is being investigated by authorities.
