On the afternoon of May 1, information from the leader of the People's Committee of Phu Thien district (Gia Lai) said that the Investigation Police Agency of Gia Lai Provincial Police temporarily detained Loc Quang Ly (37 years old, residing in Ayun Ha commune, Phu Thien district) to investigate the act of molesting a person under 16 years old.

Loc Quang Ly is a Physical Education teacher, assigned as Team Leader of Nguyen Tri Phuong Primary School, Ayun Ha Commune, Phu Thien District.

According to initial information, on April 25, Nguyen Tri Phuong Primary School received feedback from a number of parents about teacher Loc Quang Ly's inappropriate behavior and molestation of students at the school.

Considering that this is an issue related to teachers' ethics, affecting students and the school, on April 26, the Board of Directors and the school's Trade Union worked with teacher Loc Quang Ly to grasp the situation.

During the investigation, teacher Loc Quang Ly said that during training for the school's Honor Guard, Ly touched the bodies of the students in the team.

The school asked teacher Loc Quang Ly to write a report on the information parents reported, and reported the incident to the leaders of Ayun Ha commune and the Head of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Thien district.

After receiving the information, Ayun Ha Commune Police coordinated with the Investigation Team of Region 3 (Provincial Police) to verify. Working with the police, Ly admitted to the above actions.

The leader of Phu Thien District People's Committee said that he is directing the investigation and clarification of the above incident. Any mistakes will be handled accordingly, in order to clean up the educational environment.
