On June 20, Major General Le Vinh Quy - Director of Dak Lak Provincial Police Department, sent a letter of thanks to the people and ethnic minorities who supported the police force in the serious incident that occurred in Cu Kuin district.
Major General Le Vinh Quy mentioned that in recent days, after the attack by a group of people on the headquarters of the People's Committees of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, Cu Kuin district, especially with the wholehearted support and assistance of the local people, in just a short time, the provincial police force arrested and persuaded more than 70 people to surrender.
Authorities at all levels have promptly implemented policies and organized visits, condolences, and encouragement for relatives of sacrificed communal officials and police officers and deceased people.
Two seriously injured police officers have been treated and their health is gradually stabilizing; people's lives have returned to a peaceful state, and people can work and produce with peace of mind...
Through this, Major General Le Vinh Quy thanked the attention, direction and consensus of the entire political system, and the support of the masses to help the police force in the fight against these subjects.
The Director of Dak Lak Provincial Police also thanked the people of all ethnic groups throughout the area, especially the districts with many fugitives such as Cu Kuin, Krong Buk, Krong Pac... who did not fear danger, actively participated in rescuing injured police officers and soldiers; regularly provided information to help the force determine the location and situation to capture the perpetrators.
In the letter, Major General Le Vinh Quy mentioned the case of Mr. Tran Dinh Thuan (residing in Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district), which he said was truly touching and grateful.
Accordingly, Mr. Thuan, despite his old age and knowing that the subjects had dangerous weapons, were very reckless, and could take his own life, still found every way to overcome the pursuit, and that same night took the seriously injured commune police officer to the emergency room...
At the same time, the head of the provincial police thanked many people who were willing to put aside their personal work to cook rice, supporting the police force on duty; actively speaking out to fight, expose the crimes of the group of subjects and mobilize people whose children participated in the attack to voluntarily surrender to receive leniency...
“The wholehearted support of the people has affirmed the ardent patriotism and solidarity of the people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province; clearly demonstrated the trust and affection of the people for the police force; affirmed the solid fortress of the people's hearts in the uncompromising struggle against hostile and reactionary forces and all types of criminals,” the letter from the Director of Dak Lak Provincial Police mentioned.
