In the first session of the month (July 1), the price of 9999 gold bars at SJC Ho Chi Minh City was 66.35 million VND/tael (buy) and 67.05 million VND/tael (sell). SJC Hanoi listed at 66.35 million VND/tael (buy) and 67.07 million VND/tael (sell).
Doji Hanoi listed at 66.4 million VND/tael (buy) and 67 million VND/tael (sell). Doji Ho Chi Minh City bought SJC gold at 66.45 million VND/tael and sold at 66.95 million VND/tael.
Gold prices jumped to their highest level of the month on July 13. The price of 9999 gold bars at SJC Ho Chi Minh City was VND66.8 million/tael (buy) and VND67.42 million/tael (sell). Doji Hanoi listed it at VND66.7 million/tael (buy) and VND67.35 million/tael (sell).
In the following sessions, domestic gold prices adjusted down and did not fluctuate much. The increase and decrease in buying and selling prices were not much. By the session on July 27, domestic gold prices rebounded strongly.
At the end of the trading session on July 29, the price of 9999 gold bars at SJC Ho Chi Minh City was 66.55 million VND/tael (buy) and 67.25 million VND/tael (sell). SJC Hanoi listed at 66.55 million VND/tael (buy) and 67.27 million VND/tael (sell).
Doji Hanoi listed at 66.55 million VND/tael (buy) and 67.25 million VND/tael (sell). Doji Ho Chi Minh City bought SJC gold at 66.65 million VND/tael and sold at 67.15 million VND/tael.
Since the beginning of the month, the price of gold at SJC has increased by 200,000 VND/tael. Meanwhile, the price of gold at Doji has increased by 150,000 VND/tael.
On the world market, the spot gold price on Kitco floor on July 29 (at 4:00 p.m., Vietnam time) was trading at 1,959 USD/ounce.
At the current price, the world gold price converted to VND (including tax and processing fee) differs from the domestic SJC gold price by about 10.28 million VND/tael.
