Gold prices plummeted

SJC gold bar price is 15.6 million VND/tael higher than world gold price

Tonight, the world gold price was only 3,305 USD/ounce. Compared to the closing time of the trading week, the world gold price has evaporated about 30 USD/ounce (equivalent to 952,000 VND/tael).

Converted according to the exchange rate listed at the bank, the world gold price is equivalent to 104.9 million VND/tael.

At the end of today, Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed the price of SJC gold bars at 120.5 million VND/tael (sell) and 118.5 million VND/tael (buy), down 400,000 VND/tael compared to last weekend.

The selling price of 9999 gold rings at SJC Company also decreased to 116.4 million VND/tael, buying price was 113.9 million VND/tael, down 400,000 VND/tael.

Similarly, PNJ and Bao Tin Minh Chau companies also reduced the selling price of gold bars to the same price as SJC gold bars sold at SJC Company.

At Mi Hong gold shop, the selling price of SJC gold bars decreased to 120.5 million VND/tael, buying price 119.5 million VND/tael, down 200,000 VND/tael in both selling and buying directions.

Currently, the difference between buying and selling prices of SJC gold bars is 2 million VND/tael.

Compared to the converted world gold price, the price of SJC gold bars is 15.6 million VND/tael higher, while the price of 9999 gold rings is 11.5 million VND/tael higher.

USD price cools down

Meanwhile, after continuously increasing last week, today the bank USD price has cooled down.

Today, the State Bank announced the central exchange rate at 25,113 VND/USD, down 3 VND/USD compared to last weekend.

With a margin of +/-5%, commercial banks are allowed to buy and sell USD in the range of 23,857 - 26,369 VND/USD.

According to today's records, the USD/VND exchange rate at banks has decreased quite sharply compared to last weekend.

Vietcombank listed the USD selling price at 26,330 VND/USD, down 20 VND/USD compared to last weekend.

BIDV also reduced the USD selling price to 26,330 VND/USD, buying price to 25,970 VND/USD. Eximbank listed the USD buying price at 25,960 VND/USD, and the selling price at 26,340 VND/USD.

Thus, compared to the allowed ceiling, the USD selling price at banks is 29-39 VND/USD lower.

In the free market, the USD buying and selling price still increased to 26,441 - 26,541 VND/USD (buy - sell), an increase of 29 VND/USD compared to the end of last week.
