Thus, shareholders owning 1 share will receive 3,000 VND and with approximately 366 million shares listed and in circulation, Gelex Electricity will have to spend about 1,098 billion VND to pay dividends to existing shareholders.
The ex-dividend date is August 20 and the expected payment date is September 10.
The 30% dividend rate was approved by the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. However, according to the documents of the 2025 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled to be held on August 15, GEE plans to adjust the dividend rate to 60%, of which 40% will be in cash (VND 4,000/share) and 20% in shares (100 shares receive 20 new shares). If approved, GEE will have at least one more cash dividend payment to complete the annual plan.
The basis for the plan adjustment comes from GEE's brilliant business results in the first half of 2025. By the end of the second quarter, GEE achieved nearly VND 11.8 trillion in revenue, up 30.6% over the same period; pre-tax profit was VND 1,330 billion, up 61.8%. This result is equivalent to achieving nearly 53% of the revenue plan and 78.8% of the pre-tax profit target for the year.
Considering the positive market dynamics and growth potential in the second half of the year, GEE's Board of Directors submitted to the General Meeting of Shareholders an adjusted business plan for 2025, including a 6.8% increase in revenue and 107.5% increase in pre-tax profit target compared to the old plan.
Regarding business activities, in the second quarter of 2025, GELEX Electric's consolidated net revenue reached VND 6,510 billion, an increase of 22.6% over the same period in 2024; consolidated pre-tax profit reached VND 722 billion, an increase of 7.0% over the same period.
In the first 6 months of the year, the company achieved VND 11,791 billion in revenue, an increase of VND 2,761 billion, equivalent to an increase of 30.6%; pre-tax profit reached VND 1,330 billion, an increase of 61.8% compared to the same period in the first 6 months of 2024.
As of June 30, 2025, GELEX Electric's total assets reached VND 14,360 billion, an increase of VND 1,457 billion, equivalent to an increase of 11.3% compared to January 1, 2025, mainly due to an increase in short-term assets. Of which, cash and cash equivalents reached VND 944 billion, an increase of VND 253 billion, equivalent to an increase of 36.5%.
