On the morning of January 24, the 9th conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, term 2019-2024, elected comrade To Thi Bich Chau, member of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to join the Committee, the Presidium and hold the position of Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, term 2019-2024.
At the 9th conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, 2019-2024, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Huu Dung presented a report on personnel.
Accordingly, based on the decision of the Secretariat, implementing the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front submitted to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for consultation to elect comrade To Thi Bich Chau, member of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Secretary of the District 1 Party Committee, term 2020-2025, to hold the position of Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2019-2024.
100% of the delegates attending the conference elected comrade To Thi Bich Chau, member of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to join the Committee, the Presidium and hold the position of Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, 2019-2024.
Previously, the Secretariat had decided to transfer, assign and appoint comrade To Thi Bich Chau, member of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Secretary of the District 1 Party Committee, term 2020-2025, to stop participating in the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to join the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, introduce her to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for consultation and election, to participate in the Committee, the Presidium, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and hold the position of Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2019-2024.
At the meeting of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on the afternoon of January 23, the Presidium expressed high consensus with the proposal of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to consult and elect comrade To Thi Bich Chau to hold the position of Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
At the conference, 100% of the delegates also consulted and elected 14 additional members to the Central Committee and 4 members to the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, 2019-2024.
In her acceptance speech, Comrade To Thi Bich Chau thanked the Presidium and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for trusting, introducing, negotiating, and assigning her the task of Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2019-2024 term. She also thanked the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Organizing Committee, and other central agencies for their attention and trust in assigning her this important responsibility.
Comrade To Thi Bich Chau said that this is an honor and at the same time a very great responsibility assigned by the Party, the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the people, so she will constantly cultivate and train her political qualities, ethics and lifestyle; be dedicated to her work; try to continue to learn in a receptive manner, quickly approach new tasks, inherit the achievements and valuable experiences of previous leaders, and make the greatest effort to complete the assigned tasks well.
According to him, in recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has continuously affirmed its position and role in representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; regularly paid attention to promoting the right to mastery, mobilizing people to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, monitoring activities, social criticism, preventing and combating corruption and negativity; participated in building the Party, government and political system to be increasingly clean and strong, contributing to consolidating people's trust.
The work of the Fatherland Front from the central to grassroots levels has been increasingly innovated in a focused, practical, effective direction, closely following the prescribed functions and tasks, and has made important contributions to many areas of social life.
At this time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels has been organizing congresses for the 2024-2029 term to evaluate the results of implementing the system of targets and tasks for the entire 2019-2024 term and propose a system of new targets and tasks for the 2024-2029 term; towards organizing the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term in October 2024.
Comrade Bich Chau said that she and the Central Front will continue to prepare well for the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029.
In his new position, he hopes to continue to receive the sharing, wholehearted attention, leadership, direction, and facilitation of the leaders of the Party, State, and the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the encouragement and valuable experience of revolutionary veterans and previous generations of leaders; the joint efforts and unanimity of the staff, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, of front officials at all levels, and member organizations to help him successfully complete his tasks.
Comrade To Thi Bich Chau also sincerely thanks the Party Committee, government and people of District 1 (HCMC), cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the places where she worked and trained for always joining hands, unanimously supporting and helping her to complete her tasks in her positions.
