On the afternoon of January 16, comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee visited and presented Tet gifts to a number of policy families and outstanding elderly people in Gia Loc district.
Also attending were comrades: Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung.
The leaders visited and presented gifts to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Cach, born in 1950, wife of martyr Dang Thanh Binh in Gia Phuc commune (martyr Dang Thanh Binh died when he and his wife had no children; Mrs. Cach worshiped her husband and did not get married); war invalid Dang Van Than, born in 1949; and Mr. Tang Duc Tu, born in 1954, a resistance fighter infected with Agent Orange (both in Gia Tien commune).
Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang kindly visited and wished the martyr's wife, who contributed to the revolution, to continue to set an example and encourage her children and grandchildren to strictly follow the Party's policies and the State's laws.
The Provincial Party Secretary expressed his deep gratitude to those who contributed to the revolution, and the wives of martyrs who had devoted themselves to the peace and independence of the country. To have today's happiness, a prosperous and happy life, many generations of young people had to fight in all the battlefields, and many had to stay behind and could not return. Those who were lucky enough to overcome the war and return to normal life immediately started working and producing, becoming shining examples of perseverance, diligence and creativity for the younger generation to follow.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested Gia Loc district and the Party committees and authorities of communes to continue to pay attention, provide thoughtful care, ensure full policies and health care, so that people with meritorious services to the revolution and martyrs' wives can fully enjoy the achievements of local socio-economic development.
At the family of Le Thi Hang, born in 1925, residing in Dong Can village (Gia Tien commune), the Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung kindly asked about her health and wished that Le Thi Hang would continue to be a shining example for her children and grandchildren to follow. They asked the family to continue to care for her and support her so that she could live happily, healthily, and reunite with her children and grandchildren.
On this occasion, Gia Loc district and communes also gave Tet gifts to the elderly and families with meritorious services.
