Vietnamese team won third prize at Huawei ICT Competition 2022 - 2023

Surpassing many talented candidates from leading universities in the field of ICT training in the world , the Vietnamese team won third prize in the Cloud category.

At the global final of the Huawei ICT Competition 2022-2023 recently held in Shenzhen (China), the Vietnamese team won third prize after competing with 146 teams from 36 countries and territories.

Previously, the team had surpassed more than 120,000 students from more than 2,000 universities in 74 countries and territories around the world to win a ticket to the final round. This year, the global finals included three parts: Practice, Innovation and Industry. Of which, the practical competition had three categories: Network, Cloud and Computing.

Competition Awards Ceremony

The Huawei ICT Competition 2022-2023 is being held for the seventh time, marking the largest scale ever. Students have to go through many intense national and regional rounds, overcoming many strong opponents to advance to the Global Finals.

The Vietnamese team consists of three students: Nguyen Quoc Hung (Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology – PTIT), Tran Duc Lam and Vu Quang Hai (FPT University); led by Dr. Tran Tien Cong (Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology – PTIT) competing in the global final round.

Xiao Haijun, President of Global Partner Sales and Development, Huawei Enterprise Business Group, said: "Digital talent and digital skills lay the foundation for the development of the digital economy . Therefore, Huawei will share ICT education resources with more schools around the world in the future. We plan to build 7,000 Huawei ICT Academies by 2026, training more than 1 million students each year, significantly improving students' digital knowledge and skills to enter a more dynamic and inclusive digital world."
