Over the past years, under the direct leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); the attention, coordination and facilitation of authorities at all levels, the Fatherland Front, departments, branches, sectors, socio-political organizations; the proactiveness and creativity of trade unions at all levels; the enthusiasm, dedication and responsibility of trade union officials and the dynamic and creative spirit of union members, workers, workers, civil servants and laborers (CLCs), trade union activities in Phu Tho province have continued to innovate, adapt flexibly, and bring about practical results.

Leaders of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial Labor Federation presented gifts to workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024.

Trade Unions at all levels in the province have focused on directing the work of grasping the living and working conditions of union members and employees, and coordinating the inspection, examination and supervision of the implementation of regimes and policies for union members and employees at agencies, units and enterprises; focusing on doing a good job of taking care of the practical benefits of union members, especially the "Tet Sum Vay" program, "Worker's Month", supporting union members and employees affected by the COVID-19 pandemic... Directing trade unions at all levels to promote social and charitable activities, maintain and effectively implement the "Union Shelter" Fund, "Capital Support Fund for Union Members".

The propaganda, education and communication activities of the trade union have been innovated, contributing to conveying the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws, and the activities of the trade union organization to union members and workers. Patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the Movements "Good workers, creative workers", "Higher productivity, better quality", "Good advice, good service", the Program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, determination to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic" ... have attracted a large number of cadres, union members and workers to participate, contributing to the implementation of the province's socio-economic development tasks. The work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions and building strong trade union organizations has received attention.

In the coming time, along with the socio-economic development of the province, the number of union members and employees of the province is expected to continue to increase rapidly. This is both a favorable condition for developing union members and establishing grassroots unions, and at the same time, it is also a pressure on the trade union organization in the context of legal regulations on the field of labor and employment that are expected to continue to have major and fundamental changes.

That context requires stronger innovation in the content and methods of trade union activities, requiring each level of trade union and each trade union official to be deeply aware of their responsibilities to the organization, to union members and employees, especially in taking care of material and spiritual needs, performing the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees. Therefore, trade unions at all levels in the province need to continue to strongly innovate and improve the quality of activities, including implementing well the following key tasks:

Focus on effectively implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW, dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo "On innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation" in accordance with the characteristics of the province. Innovate the form and content of propaganda and mobilization work for union members and employees in accordance with each type of grassroots trade union.

Promote the role and initiative of the Trade Union in building a team of employees with strong political will, high sense of discipline, cultural lifestyle, professional qualifications, professional skills, industrial style, worthy of being the core force, leading the way in implementing the socio-economic development goals of the province.

In the period of 2019 - 2023, the province has newly established 206 grassroots trade unions, increasing the number of union members by 26,381. Currently, the Provincial Federation of Labor is directly managing and directing 17 grassroots trade unions with 1,721 grassroots trade unions and 146,596 union members. On average, 98.82% of grassroots trade unions are classified as having fulfilled their tasks well or better; 88.28% of grassroots trade unions are classified as having fulfilled their tasks well or better, of which non-state sector trade unions are classified as strong, reaching 71.96%. Participation in social supervision and criticism is focused on, contributing to Party building and building a clean and strong government. Women's activities, financial work, inspection and supervision are given attention and are increasingly becoming more organized.

Carry out well the work of caring for, representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. Coordinate well the implementation of the Law on Democracy at the grassroots level; develop programs and models to care for the interests of union members that have been and are being effective such as "Workers' Month", "Reunion Tet", and mid-shift meals.

Actively participate with competent authorities to promptly and effectively resolve pressing issues among employees, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the enterprise. Actively research, advise and propose to competent authorities on mechanisms and policies to improve and enhance the material and spiritual life of union members and employees.

Organize well patriotic emulation movements with content and methods suitable for each type of establishment, industry, and target, especially the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers", focusing on "Higher productivity, better quality" in the production and business sector, "Good advice, good service" in administrative agencies and public service units, contributing to the implementation of the socio-economic development tasks of the province.

Promote the work of developing union members and building a strong union organization; pay attention to training, fostering, and improving the professional qualifications and skills of union officials at all levels, adapting to changes in the situation and requirements and tasks of the new period; participate in building a clean and strong Party, government, and political system; do a good job of discovering, fostering, and introducing outstanding union members to the Party Committee for consideration, fostering, and admission to the Party.

Strengthen close coordination with the government, professional colleagues, the Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations, departments, branches and sectors in trade union activities; promote the positivity and creativity of trade union officials and the intelligence of the majority of union members and employees in trade union activities.

Promoting the 95-year tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union, 77 years of establishment and growth of the Phu Tho Trade Union, the working class and the provincial Trade Union are determined to successfully implement the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the 17th Congress of the Provincial Trade Union, building an increasingly strong Trade Union, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of socio-economic development of the province.
