Delegation of Hanoi City visits heroic martyrs in Quang Tri province

The delegation included Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen; leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, Party Committees of the City Party Committee, departments, branches and sectors of Hanoi.

Accordingly, the Hanoi delegation came to offer flowers, incense and visit the heroic martyrs at Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery.

Here, the Hanoi delegation expressed their respect and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who fell for the cause of national liberation and unification; their great sacrifice will forever be a shining example of patriotism and sacrifice for the present and future generations to be proud of and follow.

Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery is located on Ben Tat hill (Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province), is the resting place of more than 10,000 heroic martyrs nationwide, mainly martyrs of Group 559 - Truong Son Army, who sacrificed during the resistance war against America to save the country.

Here, the resting place of Hanoi martyrs has two main areas, including the Hanoi martyrs' cemetery with 469 graves; the Ha Tay province martyrs' cemetery (old) with 888 graves; the martyrs' graves of Me Linh district located at the Vinh Phuc province martyrs' cemetery and the martyrs' graves of communes in Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province.

At the National Martyrs' Cemetery of Road 9, the Hanoi delegation offered flowers and incense, expressing their infinite gratitude and deep appreciation for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who devoted their entire youth, bravely fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the country.

The National Road 9 Martyrs Cemetery is located next to Highway 9 (Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province). This is the resting place of nearly 11,000 heroic martyrs who fought and served on the Highway 9 front and in Laos during the resistance war against the US to save the country and gain national independence as well as sacrificed in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

According to the schedule, in the afternoon of the same day, the Hanoi City Delegation visited, worked and presented gifts to Quang Tri province.

Next, the delegation offered incense at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel. In the evening of the same day, the delegation from Hanoi offered incense and released flower lanterns on the Thach Han River.
