Career orientation in the digital age with 'Upgrade: Career 4.0'

With the message: “Knowledge – Orientation – Action… With AI, the majors you choose – what else do you need to stand out?”, the talk show “Upgrade: Career 4.0” is not only an exchange event, but also an opportunity for students to dialogue with themselves and answer the most important question in their study life: What do I study for? And how to really stand out from the crowd?

This is one of the meaningful activities in a series of cooperation events between the University of Electricity, the Industry and Trade Publishing House and partners in the fields of publishing - education - career to enhance opportunities for connection and orientation for students on the threshold of entering life.

In an era where technology is always ahead of the curriculum, when artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the landscape of almost every field, from marketing, finance, tourism to engineering, students can no longer just study to pass the subject or memorize to do the test, they need to understand deeply, act correctly and update continuously if they do not want to be eliminated by their chosen field.

The talkshow provided a realistic view of today's labor market, where a degree is only a necessary condition, while the sufficient condition is critical thinking, the ability to learn interdisciplinary, a progressive attitude and the ability to adapt to change. Students heard real stories from predecessors - those who were lost, who struggled, but eventually found a way to upgrade their own career journey. Through this, students will see that success does not come from choosing the right major from the beginning, but from knowing how to study correctly, do the right thing and persevere in the right direction.

The program provides a lot of useful knowledge for students who are feeling confused or uncertain about studying and working, want to start over or change direction but do not know where to start.

By connecting generations - from school leaders, talk shows with speakers such as Mr. Nguyen Tuan Quynh, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Young Entrepreneurs Association; Mr. Le Cong Minh, Director of ABBank Digital Bank - Author of the book Mentor: From quality students to combat personnel; Master Chu Van Tuan - Acting Director of EPU Foreign Language Center, lecturer of the Center for Communication, Business Relations and Training on Energy Saving and Efficiency of the University of Electricity... have opened up a space to inspire, orient careers and explore the potential of each young person.

Within the framework of the program, Industry and Trade Publishing House and Saigon Books presented the “AI Bookshelf” to the University of Electricity – as a gift of knowledge, contributing to equipping the school’s students with more knowledge for studying, researching and innovating in the era of artificial intelligence.
