"My wish is that children in flood-affected areas can celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival"

(Dan Tri) - Blind children at Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School expressed their wish that students in areas affected by storms and floods will have a warm and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival.
On the evening of September 15, in Hanoi, Dan Tri newspaper organized the Mid-Autumn Festival program "Fairy moon, leading the way to love". The program aims to bring warmth and send love to blind children at Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School. At the beginning of the program, students experienced Bat Trang pottery painting. Vigo group accompanied Dan Tri newspaper to organize this program. Vigo shared with the children about the origin of Bat Trang pottery and played quiz games about the craft village. In addition, blind children were also guided to experience Bat Trang pottery painting by placing the mold on the product to color directly.
Bat Trang ceramic cups and vases have been pre-fired at 500 degrees Celsius. Students use brushes and special colored glazes to draw patterns as they like. More than 100 blind students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School enjoyed the experience of pottery painting. At 5:00 p.m., the program "Fairy Moon, Leading the Way to Love" officially took place at the 2nd floor hall, Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School.
The program opened with 4 performances by students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School, from the traditional orchestra praising the love of the homeland, a flute solo One Round of Vietnam , a female solo singing the song Cay Da Quan Doc to the play The Legend of Uncle Cuoi on the Moon . Dan Tri Newspaper and Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School observed a minute of silence for the victims who died in the recent natural disaster. Speaking at the program, journalist Pham Xuan Toan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dan Tri newspaper, shared the difficulties that children and their families have experienced and are experiencing during the natural disaster in the North. During the program, Dan Tri newspaper presented children with about 200 gifts including cakes, candies and milk. In particular, TH True Mik Group accompanied the newspaper to present 960 glasses of school milk to visually impaired students. In addition to the program in Hanoi, Dan Tri newspaper also organized meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival programs, bringing joy to thousands of children in Tay Ninh province and more than 1,000 children of officers and soldiers on duty to protect Truong Sa archipelago. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, Principal of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School, was moved to share that this was one of the most special Mid-Autumn Festivals she had ever attended. The loving and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival organized by the Trade Union and Youth Union of Dan Tri Newspaper at Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School left a very touching impression on all teachers, parents and especially blind and disabled students. "In the program, the children were able to express their dreams and were cared for by their seniors, given meaningful gifts on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival. The children were also able to sing loudly and participate in fun and meaningful activities. With the spirit of spreading, loving and sharing, the activities of Dan Tri Newspaper contributed to timely encouragement for the less fortunate students and disabled students of the school so that they always feel warm and shared," Ms. Mai expressed. In response to Dan Tri newspaper's sentiments, students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School sent a painting drawn by the visually impaired students themselves. In the program, singer Viet Tu brought 3 extremely exciting performances, singing in harmony with the children. Besides, actress Thuy Anh, actress Quynh Trang, actress Phuong Thao, actor - model Doan Thien Bao, Tiktoker Hieu Syn and Po, Tiktoker Hang Phan interacted and brought memorable moments to the visually impaired children of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School. On stage, Mr. Vu Tien Manh (second from left), the first blind person in Vietnam to complete the 42km marathon, inspired students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School with his own story. The exchange between Cuoi and Hang brought excitement to the children, including a quiz with prizes and a short play about Mid-Autumn Festival. On stage, Le Minh Chau (class 9A3, second from right) shared her wish that "children in flood-affected areas can have a warm and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival". Vu Minh Tu (class 9A1) said that when reading the news about the damage caused by the recent storm and flood, tears fell on her phone screen. "If I could see and be able to go to the flood-affected areas, I would be willing to join the teachers and uncles in overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster", Minh Tu said. Children read their Mid-Autumn wishes that they pasted on giant lanterns. The most anticipated activity is the Mid-Autumn Festival. Children of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School and children of Dan Tri Newspaper staff in Hanoi enjoy cakes, candies, fruits and snacks on the full moon night. On September 16, Dan Tri newspaper awarded 10 scholarships, each worth 1,000,000 VND, to 10 disabled students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School.
