On the morning of July 1, the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held a conference to review the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLĐ) and trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year; directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.

Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Vo Manh Son awarded the Emulation Flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 6 collectives with outstanding achievements in the labor movement and trade union activities, school year 2023-2024.

In the first 6 months of 2024, with the attention, coordination and facilitation of the government, departments, branches, sectors, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; trade unions at all levels have been proactive, creative and flexible in propaganda and mobilization work, taking care of people's lives, organizing patriotic emulation movements to create breakthroughs in implementing the goals and tasks of trade union organizations, making an important contribution to implementing the goals and tasks of socio-economic development in the province.

Notably, trade unions of agencies, units and enterprises visited and presented gifts to 563,401 union members and employees with a total value of 343.9 billion VND; of which trade unions at all levels visited and supported 157.8 billion VND; employers and enterprises supported 186.1 billion VND.

Grassroots trade unions coordinate with authorities and professional peers to organize the implementation of democratic regulations and enhance dialogue at enterprises. There are 2,907 grassroots trade unions in the administrative and career sectors, state-owned enterprises and 614 grassroots trade unions in enterprises and units outside the state sector participating in the promulgation of grassroots democratic regulations; 58 enterprises with trade unions signed new collective labor agreements (reaching 129%); 76/65 enterprises proposed and negotiated with employers to adjust the value of shift meals to over 18,000 VND (reaching 117%).

Trade unions at all levels promote emulation movements, promote initiatives, creativity, technical innovation, improve labor productivity, and work efficiency to celebrate major national holidays. Through emulation movements, many groups and individuals have emerged with typical models, good initiatives, and outstanding achievements that have been commended at all levels.

As a result, 2 outstanding workers were commended and rewarded by the Prime Minister at the Forum "Improving National Labor Productivity and Quality" in 2024; 34 individuals were awarded the Certificate of Creative Labor by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; 1,050 individuals achieved the title of "Grassroots Emulation Fighter"; 3,555 initiatives were recognized with a value of 1,520 million VND.

The work of developing union members and establishing non-state grassroots unions has been implemented with attention by the trade union organization. In the first 6 months of the year, the whole province established 41 grassroots unions and 1 grassroots trade union; and developed 9,709 new union members.

The work of building a clean and strong Party and government has been focused on. Trade unions at all levels have introduced 1,889 outstanding union members for the Party to train, of which 1,137 union members have been admitted to the Party.

In the last 6 months of 2024, trade unions at all levels will continue to focus on implementing targets, programs and tasks to implement the Resolutions of the Trade Union Congresses at all levels. Effectively develop and implement programs to develop union members, establish trade union organizations, and establish grassroots unions; strive to complete and exceed the targets for 2024. Promote the patriotic emulation movement among employees to achieve achievements in celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024) and the 78th anniversary of the founding of Thanh Hoa Trade Union (October 10, 1946 - October 10, 2024). Strengthen participation in management; represent, protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests, and care for the lives of union members and employees. Effectively implement projects in the Trade Union system; Fund "Support for union members and employees of Thanh Hoa Trade Union"; effectively implement programs: "Tet Sum Vay", "Worker's Month", "Meal Quality"... promote social activities to contribute to supporting and helping union members and workers in difficult circumstances...

On this occasion, many collectives were awarded Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Labor Federation; 34 individuals were awarded Creative Labor Certificates by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
