On the morning of July 24, Phan Vinh Island Infirmary received and promptly provided emergency care to a fisherman working in the waters of Truong Sa district, Khanh Hoa province.
Previously, at around 10:00 a.m. on July 23, while fishing in the sea about 5 nautical miles from Phan Vinh Island, fisherman Bui Duy Tan, born in 1982, from Binh Chau Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province, had a dull pain in the right iliac fossa and was taken to the island for emergency treatment by fishermen on fishing boat QNg 90962 TS.

After examination, Phan Vinh island military doctors diagnosed that the patient had acute appendicitis at the 20th hour and performed surgery to remove the inflamed appendix, wash the abdomen, and drain it. After 1 hour, the surgery was successful. Currently, patient Tan's health is stable and he continues to stay on the island for monitoring.
* Also on July 24, Naval Region 4 handed over fisherman Tran Van Canh, 48 years old, from Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province, to his family and local authorities due to a work accident while fishing at sea.
