Today, April 1, the Provincial Military Party Committee held a conference to issue a resolution to lead the implementation of tasks for the second quarter of 2024.

In the first quarter of 2024, the Provincial Military Party Committee effectively implemented military and defense tasks, built a comprehensively strong agency and unit "Exemplary and typical" and Party building work. Notably, it led, directed, thoroughly grasped, and strictly implemented resolutions, directives, and regulations of superiors on military and defense work.

Advise the Provincial Party Standing Committee to issue a directive on the 2024 National Defense and Security tasks; a directive on the defense area drill of Con Co island district, flood and storm prevention and search and rescue drill of Cam Lo district; develop the Provincial Party Committee's Action Program on implementing the 8th Central Resolution (term XIII); coordinate to organize the 9th Conference of the Party Executive Committee of Military Region 4 for the 2020-2025 term in Quang Tri.

Agencies and units strictly maintain duty and combat readiness; organize training launch ceremonies and practice to change to combat readiness status to ensure safety and quality; complete military handover work to ensure 100% of targets.

Promote political and ideological education, activities, emulation movements to win and peak emulation movements; develop a plan to organize the Emulation Congress to win of the provincial armed forces; plan to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day.

Directing Party committees at all levels to organize a preliminary review of 1 year of implementing Directive 732 of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Military Region 4, Directive 81 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Military Party Committee on building "Four-good Party cells" and "Four-good grassroots Party committees".

The conference focused on discussing and proposing many specific policies and measures, and agreed on 6 key tasks and a number of policies and solutions that need to be implemented in the second quarter, such as: continuing to coordinate and direct units to do a good job of preparing for drills, focusing on leading and directing the successful organization of the Provincial Armed Forces Emulation Congress for the period 2019 - 2024; developing a plan to prepare for participation in the All-Army Television Film Festival; the Military Region-level Skillful Civil Affairs Competition in 2024.

Agencies and units must ensure good logistics, technical and financial work, pay attention to investing in facilities, and improve soldiers' lives; continue to build a strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres; proactively review contents related to preparations for Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.

Concluding the conference, Colonel Nguyen Ba Duan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, requested the Provincial Military Party Committee to continue to perform better its role and function of advising the Party Committee and the government to lead and direct the implementation of military and defense tasks; promote the work of grasping and forecasting the situation in a proactive, timely, regular and accurate manner; improve the quality of regular building and discipline enforcement; synchronously deploy Party building work, contributing to the successful implementation of military and defense tasks in 2024.
