Dan Truong's full name is Pham Nguyen Dan Truong, a third-year student majoring in logistics and supply chain management at the International Training Office at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. Dan Truong explains why he has the same name as the famous male singer Dan Truong (full name is Pham Dan Truong, still affectionately called Bo by everyone): "I heard that when my mother gave birth to me in 2003, singer Dan Truong was very famous in the Vietnamese music market. My parents at that time really liked listening to Bo's music. When I was born, they saw that I was a boy, so they chose the name of their favorite singer for me."

Dan Truong also recounted: "During my time at school, because my name was so similar to a famous singer, I accidentally stood out and made an impression on my friends and teachers. In addition, some of my images and styles also had some similarities with singer Dan Truong, so I was often teased and had many happy memories because of my name". Because to achieve this title, students are required to meet all 5 good criteria: study, ethics, volunteering, integration and physical strength. "Therefore, right from the moment I entered the lecture hall, I learned about the criteria and requirements of the title to make efforts and strive. And if I want to reach higher levels of this title such as the typical "5 Good Students", I have to try harder not only in studying but also in participating in research and extracurricular activities", Dan Truong said. According to Dan Truong, in the 5 criteria of "5 Good Students" , he feels that volunteering stands out. "Maybe because I am someone who really likes social volunteer activities, towards the community and children. I feel that I am someone who likes to participate in and organize activities and events for students. Especially volunteer activities for the community and society", Dan Truong said.

Typically, he won second prize in the Usaid Build-It & Dow VietNam Stem Program: Innovation and Entrepreneurship Challenge organized by the United States Agency for International Development in collaboration with Arizona State University (USA) and many other organizations. This is a large-scale academic and research competition with the participation of students from leading technical schools across the country. Thanks to his excellence, Dan Truong achieved a high ranking. For Dan Truong, the secret to studying well in a university environment is very simple: "Just have a group of close friends to help each other study and research. When faced with a heavy workload or during final exams, having a group of close friends is a motivation to study and review together more effectively. Thereby helping each other speed up their studies. In addition, it is necessary to have the skill of balancing time. For example, I always arrange my schedule and prioritize daily tasks through modern application platforms."
