Previously, this beauty won the title of 1st runner-up of Miss World Vietnam 2023. In the contest, she also won the Beauty with a Heart sub-award and entered the top 5 of Miss Sea.

Dao Thi Hien's decision to return to the beauty pageant despite having won a title in a beauty pageant surprised many people. Appearing at the preliminary round of Miss Vietnam 2024 in the northern region, Dao Thi Hien wore a sexy white dress, impressing with her neat appearance. However, in the list of 26 contestants from the northern region announced by the organizing committee to enter the final round, Dao Thi Hien's name was not on it. Her failure in the preliminary round of Miss Vietnam 2024 surprised the online community.

On beauty forums, netizens have expressed many opinions about the reason why this beauty was eliminated from the preliminary round. Some viewers speculated that Dao Thi Hien may not have passed the anthropometric measurement round because she had cosmetic dental procedures. Meanwhile, the organizers of Miss Vietnam 2024 emphasized that if a contestant has undergone cosmetic surgery, even at a moderate or minor level, she will not be eligible to continue.

Dao Thi Hien was born in 2001, from Nghe An, is the younger sister of Dao Thi Ha (who was in the Top 5 of Miss Vietnam 2016, Top 5 of Miss Universe Vietnam 2019). She studied at Hanoi University of Business and Technology, impressing with her height of 1.75m and sexy figure. Previously, the 24-year-old beauty also caused a stir when she announced that she was leaving her management company after a few years of working together.
