Immediately after receiving the news about the risk of landslide at Group 7, Zone 5, Quang Hanh Ward, Cam Pha City, which could affect hundreds of households living below, Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, was present at the scene to direct the work of ensuring safety. Accompanying him was Comrade Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

According to a report from Cam Pha City, due to the impact of storm No. 3, in group 7, zone 5, Quang Hanh ward (hillside section near NEWSTAS Company), some cracks appeared, the largest subsidence was about 1m, and there were many cracks around about 10 - 15 cm.
To conduct inspection and monitoring, the city invited Mining Geology Joint Stock Company to survey and explore. Preliminary assessment results showed that the above area had waterlogging in the soil, with a high risk of landslides over an area of about 2 hectares.
Faced with that situation, to ensure the safety of people and property, Cam Pha City has announced and requested households in groups 3, 4, 7, zone 5; groups 2, zone 6 and groups 1, zone 7A located below the hillside to urgently evacuate people and valuable property from locations at risk of unsafe landslides.
Cam Pha City and Quang Hanh Ward have organized public announcements, encouraging people to move to relatives and friends' houses outside the above-mentioned areas. At the same time, they have arranged safe locations for people to move to, including: Khe Sim Coal Company's apartment building (Dong Bac Corporation - Ministry of National Defense); cultural houses in Zone 6 and Zone 7A.
At the locations arranged to receive the evacuated people, Cam Pha City, Quang Hanh Ward and the units have ensured the most essential conditions to serve the people's daily life. At the same time, they have organized forces on duty 24/7 to protect houses and property, help people stabilize their psychology; and promptly respond when incidents occur.

At the same time, the city notified schools to evacuate students living in the affected area and to take a day off on September 12; coordinated with functional forces to temporarily close National Highway 18 through the dangerous area;...
By 9:00 p.m. on September 11, all 136 households in the landslide-prone area had been evacuated to safe shelters.
Directly inspecting locations at risk of landslides and newly appearing cracks, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tuong Huy commended and highly appreciated the proactive and positive spirit of Cam Pha City, with specific and timely solutions.
He requested Cam Pha City to have a specific plan for the unit on duty in dangerous areas, arrange safe locations to monitor geological changes; ensure absolute safety of people and property for people in areas at risk of landslides.

The Department of Transport coordinated with Cam Pha City and the Provincial Police to deploy measures to separate lanes and guide vehicles to avoid dangerous areas, ensuring smooth and safe traffic.
Continue to carry out survey, monitoring, observation, and assessment of specific situations to clearly identify affected areas, promptly notify and evacuate people when necessary. Cam Pha City continues to monitor, update the situation, and report to the Provincial People's Committee for timely direction.
