Da Nang approves the project of urban ecological subdivision planning of Hillside
The 1/2000 scale planning of the Suon Doi ecological urban area was approved by Da Nang city. This is a new urban area that prioritizes the development of tourism - commercial services combined with housing, with a total area of over 2,832 hectares.
Da Nang City has just issued Decision 1433/QD-UBND approving the Suon Doi ecological urban zoning plan, scale 1/2000.
The Hillside Urban Area is located entirely in Hoa Vang district, in the communes of Hoa Ninh - Hoa Son - Hoa Nhon - Hoa Phu. The total area of this area is about 2,832 hectares.
This new urban area prioritizes the development of tourism - commercial services combined with housing, with green space and water surface distributed in the area around Duong Ba Lang mountain.
In addition, resettlement areas, hillside villas, and high-rise buildings have high land use coefficients and low construction density to ensure views towards the western mountains.
The Hillside Urban Area is planned to have a population of about 194,240 people. Of which, by 2030 there will be about 140,000 people, and after 2030 there will be about 54,240 more people.

The Hillside urban area belongs to the structure of 3 urban areas of Hoa Vang district as oriented in the General Plan 359 of Da Nang City.
In terms of the structure of the three urban areas, Hoa Vang includes the entire Hillside area and most of the Green Core area. At the same time, the Western ecological area also includes the entire Hoa Vang.
It is expected that by 2025, Hoa Vang district will have 9 localities developed into wards including Hoa Lien, Hoa Ninh, Hoa Son, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phong, Hoa Chau, Hoa Phuoc, Hoa Khuong. Only 2 communes remain: Hoa Phu and Hoa Bac.
In addition to the Hillside Urban Area, Da Nang City also approved the Lien Chieu Seaport Sub-area Planning Project, scale 1/2000.
The planning area has an area of about 1,286.2 hectares; located in Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Lien Chieu district and Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district.
In terms of nature, this is a specialized functional area with Lien Chieu Port, logistics cluster and seaport urban area. The planned area has a population of about 24,000 people.
