Da Nang develops a team of high-quality semiconductor chip technology engineers

DNO - On the afternoon of August 8, the Da Nang Center for Research and Training in Microchip Design and Artificial Intelligence (DSAC) held a closing ceremony for the Microchip Design class and the opening ceremony for the English class specializing in the semiconductor field.

The VLSI - Physical Design class will be implemented from April 2025 by DSAC in collaboration with TreSemi Organization, Synopsys Company, GASA Company and Sovico Group.

The 3-month course includes 60 hours of theory and 106 hours of practice, taught entirely in English, focusing on providing practical knowledge, close to the actual requirements of the global chip design industry.

The class attracted 43 students who were final year students and lecturers majoring in electronics - telecommunications, computer engineering, IoT (Internet of Things) and information technology from universities in the city.

At the ceremony, Mr. Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, congratulated all students who completed the program; and awarded prizes and certificates to 5 outstanding students.

Also on the afternoon of August 8, DSAC opened a specialized English class for students in the semiconductor field. The program is taught by expert Mark Filshie, who has 18 years of experience in recruiting senior personnel in the technology industry in the Asian region.

The course lasts for 4 weeks, focusing on professional communication skills, CV writing, personal storytelling, interviewing, building personal profiles and optimizing LinkedIn profiles according to international recruitment standards. Students will be fully prepared to join the global working environment at companies such as NVIDIA, Synopsys, Intel, Marvell, Microsoft,FPT ...

Mr. Mark Filshie said: “Vietnamese engineers not only need good expertise but also need communication skills and professional self-expression. This program helps them gain more confidence to enter the global playing field.”
