However, due to the extremely hot weather, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius in some places, combined with high airfares, the number of domestic visitors decreased significantly compared to the same period in 2023.

Specifically, the total number of visitors and tourists staying in Quang Nam during the holiday is estimated at more than 230,000 (down 5% compared to the same period in 2023). Of which, international visitors are estimated at more than 130,000 (up 10% compared to the same period), domestic visitors are estimated at 100,000 (down 19% compared to the same period in 2023). Revenue from sightseeing and tourist accommodation during the 5-day holiday is estimated at 600 billion VND.

On the contrary, Khanh Hoa had a bumper holiday. Specifically, during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, Khanh Hoa welcomed 969,955 visitors to visit and relax, with total tourism revenue reaching more than VND 1,306 billion, an increase of 53% compared to the 2023 holiday. Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, explained that although high airfares have affected the travel of domestic tourists, with the open highway from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang, tourists in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces traveling by road to Khanh Hoa are very convenient. In addition to road and air, railways are also chosen by domestic tourists to travel during this year's holiday. In addition to the domestic tourist market, the international tourist market also tends to increase, such as China, Korea, etc.

Similarly, according to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan, during the past 5-day holiday (from April 27 to May 1), the tourism industry of Binh Thuan province welcomed about 220,000 visitors for relaxation and sightseeing, an increase of 25% over the same period in 2023. Revenue from tourism activities in the past 5 days is estimated at more than 420 billion VND. This is the number of visitors and revenue considered to be the "biggest" in many years for the tourism industry of Binh Thuan, higher than before the Covid-19 pandemic.

With a cool climate, Da Lat has long been a top choice for vacations, especially in hot weather. Therefore, it is not surprising that this city welcomed about 170,000 visitors to visit and relax, an increase of 41.7% compared to the same period in 2023.

The Department of Culture and Information of Da Lat City (Lam Dong) said that on this occasion, major music events took place in Da Lat City such as Best Dance Crew - 2024 on April 29-30 at Lam Vien Square and Da Lat Music Festival 2024 - Sweet Love on April 27-28, attracting tens of thousands of visitors.
