Up to now, the songwriting campaign "The Country is Full of Joy" organized by the Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong has received nearly 80 songs from 60 participating authors. The 3rd Music Exchange Program will take place on the morning of October 16, at the 2nd floor hall of the Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong (HCMC) with the participation of many famous musicians and singers.

After phase 1, the organizing committee of the songwriting campaign "The Country is Full of Joy" received comments from many musicians. In particular, more than 20 professional musicians who own many hits in the music market, in addition to participating in composing, also gave positive feedback to improve the quality of the campaign, aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Give positive energy

From phase 1, the Organizing Committee has selected many high-quality works, predicted to become future hits in the Vietnamese music market, to promote and introduce at the 1st and 2nd Music Exchange programs.

This time, the Organizing Committee is implementing the 3rd Music Exchange program to create a bridge for exchange with famous musicians and singers with student audiences from: Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts, Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema, Hong Van Drama Theater, Truong Hung Minh Art Theater..., to promote creativity so that musicians from all over the country can enthusiastically send songs to the Organizing Committee.

Journalist Bui Thanh Liem - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Song Composition Campaign with the theme "The Country Full of Joy" - said: "The 3rd music exchange program aims to spread artistic values ​​in music composition, while transmitting positive energy to the generation of students studying music and art, thereby creating a bridge of exchange for the younger generation to better understand the composition process, finding materials to write about the city named after Uncle Ho".

Participating in the program are many famous artists such as: musician Truong Quang Luc, Meritorious Artist Mang Thi Hoi, Meritorious Artist singer Anh Tuyet, musician Nguyen Duc Trung, musician - singer Dinh Van, musician Nguyen Van Chung, singer Bich Phuong, singer Dong Quan, singer Nguyen Phi Hung, Duong Dinh Tri, Kim Thoa, Manh Cuong, Hoang Trung Anh, Huy Truong, Yen Phuong...

The program also honored two artists who have made many contributions to the country's cultural and artistic career, receiving gifts from the "Mai Vang Tri An" program, namely musician Truong Quang Luc and Meritorious Artist singer Anh Tuyet.

Meritorious Artist Mang Thi Hoi excitedly shared that besides the meaningful behind-the-scenes activities of the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, the Mai Vang Award has become a public cultural event, a brand associated with the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper for the past 3 decades. The Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper also built a program with profound humanistic meaning called "Mai Vang Tri An".

Launched in 2019 by the Lao Dong Newspaper with the support of Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, the "Mai Vang Tri An" program - initially named "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" - has so far had more than 800 artists across the country receive gifts from the "Mai Vang Tri An" program.

Promote new song about Ho Chi Minh City

The 3rd Music Exchange program will introduce the song "Happy Reunification Day" by musician Quynh Hop. "I am very touched, because among the musicians invited to compose in response, I have a song arranged to perform in the 3rd Music Exchange program. I hope the campaign will have many good songs, then the organizers will collect 50 songs to print into a collection. That will be a valuable source of songs written about Ho Chi Minh City to pass on to the younger generation" - musician Quynh Hop shared.

Musician Nguyen Van Chung composed the song "Brilliant Urban Area" and was selected to be introduced in the 3rd Music Exchange program. A group of singers specializing in composing songs combined with rap, including Hoang Trung Anh and Huy Truong, will perform the song "From Ho Chi Minh City, Looking Back at History" with two female singers, Yen Phuong and Minh Tram.

More uniquely, the investment group rehearsed martial arts to perform in the song. Singers Dong Quan and Di Oanh will sing the immortal composition of musician Truong Quang Luc - the song "Vam Co Dong" - with the hope of recalling the glorious past with the student audience.

Singer Duong Dinh Tri, who has just been awarded the Dao Tan Award for his contributions to music, will sing a famous composition by musician Phan Huynh Dieu: "Anh o dau song, em cuoi song". Singer Dinh Van will play the guitar and sing his composition "Thanh pho Ho Chi Minh cua toi" - a song participating in the "Dat nuoc ton niem vui" composition campaign.

Singer Bich Phuong chose a folk song composed by musician Phan Nhan about the land where she was born and raised - "My City".
