On the morning of October 26, in Ha Trung district, the Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to announce Ha Trung district meeting new rural standards (NTM) in 2023.

In 2011, when the National Target Program on New Rural Development was launched, Ha Trung district achieved an average of 4.63 criteria per commune. Determining that new rural development is not only an important political task, but also an "opportunity" to fundamentally and comprehensively change the face of the countryside, the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Trung district have united and determined to carry it out.

The district has promoted emulation movements to join hands in building new rural areas, aiming to attract the participation of the entire political system, economic sectors and all classes of people.

In addition, the district always pays attention to developing production and increasing income for people. As a result, the whole district has accumulated and concentrated more than 634 hectares of land for concentrated, large-scale production, applying high technology. Forming production areas linked to concentrated commodities for key crops; concentrated livestock areas, far from residential areas, with 701 farms of all kinds, of which 92 farms meet the criteria.

There are more than 400 businesses operating in the district, providing jobs for tens of thousands of local workers.

Along with that, Ha Trung has mobilized resources to invest in building rural infrastructure. In the period from 2011 to the end of 2023 alone, the whole district has mobilized 12,000 billion VND to build new and upgrade the rural traffic system from district to commune and village; cultural center, district gymnasium; village cultural house; schools at all levels, meeting the standards of the National Criteria for New Rural Construction...

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and Provincial Steering Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi congratulated the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Trung district have achieved in building new rural areas in recent times.

Permanent Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Thi requested Ha Trung district to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the policies and resolutions of the Central Government, the programs and plans of the province on agriculture, farmers and rural areas.

In the immediate future, it is necessary to review and develop a specific plan to immediately implement the task of building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas to further improve the material and spiritual life of the people. Strengthen propaganda and mobilization work so that people can proactively and actively participate in building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas, with the motto "people know, people discuss, people contribute, people do, people inspect, people benefit", associated with the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas" and the emulation movement "Join hands to build new rural areas".

The district continues to effectively implement mechanisms and policies for agricultural, farmer and rural development, especially policies to encourage land accumulation and concentration. Promote the application of scientific and technological advances in production, expand models of agricultural commodity production, to develop large-scale agriculture, organic agriculture, high-tech application and high added value.

Pay attention to developing collective economy and cooperative economy, taking cooperatives and enterprises as the core to support and link household economy, contributing to promoting the development of large-scale agricultural commodity production according to the value chain.

Promote the implementation of the OCOP Program, strive for each commune to have many OCOP products, contributing to building local brands and enhancing product value.

Promote the development of industry, construction, trade, services, tourism, associated with urban development, creating a strong shift in economic structure and labor structure. Prioritize the development of industrial products with high added value, agricultural processing industry and some advantageous industrial and agricultural sectors.

Implement well the planning and construction management; continue to beautify the urban area, review and adjust planning projects; regularly inspect and strictly handle violations of construction order in the area; protect the green, clean and beautiful environment. In particular, focus on implementing well the Project on rearranging administrative units at district and commune levels for the period 2023-2025; the Project on establishing Ha Long town and Ha Linh town in Ha Trung district immediately after being approved by competent authorities, in order to rapidly increase the urbanization rate in a civilized and modern direction, striving to basically meet the criteria of a type IV urban area by 2030.

Along with that, pay more attention to cultural and social development; strengthen national defense and security; proactively deploy measures to ensure security and order; promote the role of self-management in residential areas; resolutely fight, prevent and handle violations of the law, repel social evils and disasters; focus on thoroughly resolving pressing issues among the people.

Take good care of the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system to be clean and strong. Focus on leading, directing, and preparing conditions to successfully organize the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
