At about 11:50 a.m. on August 1, through the work of managing the area and receiving information from the people, the police of Cu Lao Gieng commune ( An Giang province) inspected a house in group 14, Tan Phuoc hamlet. Through the inspection, they discovered that Ho Quoc Trung was in the house, with many pieces of plastic pipes and a nylon bag sealed at both ends containing white crystals, suspected to be methamphetamine.

During a search of Trung's residence, police seized a transparent nylon bag sealed at both ends containing white crystals, suspected to be methamphetamine, an electronic scale, and many other related items. The total weight of the items was approximately 55.16 grams.

During the investigation, Ho Quoc Trung confessed that the white crystal seized by the police was methamphetamine that he bought from a stranger in Long Xuyen ward, divided into small pieces and sold to addicts for profit.

Currently, the police continue to investigate and handle the case according to the provisions of law.
